Design:
Sapphire Edge AI is designed in such a way that you can easily open the lid above without any tool and will be able to upgrade its RAM and NVMe SSD. You can see the branding of Sapphire Edge AI on the top lid. It is very compact in size; its dimensions are 117 x 111 x 30 mm. Due to the black and gold colour, it looks a bit different from other mini PCs, but you get a plastic build chassis, due to which this mini PC feels very light; its weight is only 430 gm, whereas in the Thunderobot Mix NUC Mini PC, you get a CNC-cut aluminium chassis.

CPU/GPU:
Sapphire Edge AI offers three AMD Ryzen AI 300 series APU options: the AMD Ryzen™AI 9 HX 370, the Ryzen™AI 7 350, and the Ryzen™AI 5 340. These chips are both powerful and efficient.
SAPPHIRE EDGE AI™ 370:
In the top variant of Sapphire Edge AI, you get the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip. This chip is a powerful APU based on Zen 5 architecture. In this, you get 12 cores and 24 threads. In this chip, you get 4 performance cores and 8 efficiency Z5 cores. In this, you get a base clock of 2.0 GHz, 8 efficiency Z5 cores get a 3.3 GHz max boost clock, and 4 performance cores get a maximum boost clock of 5.1 GHz. In this, you get 24 MB of Level 3 Cache. The default TDP of this chip is 28W, which means this chip is very efficient.

In the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip, you get AMD Radeon 890M integrated graphics, which are RDNA 3.5 based, and this iGPU has given you a total of 16 compute units, and the boost clock of these graphics is 2900 MHz; hence, you can do light gaming with these integrated graphics. This integrated GPU performs a little less than the RX 580. Along with this, you get an XDNA 2-based dedicated NPU which delivers AI power up to 50 TOPS and overall delivers 80 TOPS; hence, this chip is perfect for productivity and casual gaming.
SAPPHIRE EDGE AI™ 350:
In the mid variant of Sapphire Edge AI, you get the Ryzen AI 7 350 Chip. This chip is based on Zen 5 architecture; in this you get 8 cores and 16 threads. In this chip you get 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency Z5 cores. In this you get a base clock of 2.0 GHz, 4 efficiency Z5 cores get a 3.5 GHz max boost clock, and 4 performance cores get a maximum boost clock of 5.0 GHz. In this you get 16 MB of Level 3 Cache; the default TDP of this chip is 28 W.
The Ryzen AI 7 350 chip features AMD Radeon 860M integrated graphics, which are RDNA 3.5 based. This iGPU offers a total of 8 graphics cores, with a boost clock of 3000 MHz. This allows for light gaming with the integrated graphics. It also comes with an XDNA 2-based dedicated NPU that delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI power, delivering 66 TOPS overall, making it perfect for productivity and casual gaming.
SAPPHIRE EDGE AI™ 340:
In the Sapphire Edge AI-based variant, you get a Ryzen AI 5 340 chip. This chip is also based on the same Zen 5 architecture. In this, you get 6 cores and 12 threads. In this chip, you get 3 performance cores and 3 efficiency Z5 cores. In this, you get a base clock of 2.0 GHz, 3 efficiency Z5 cores get a 3.4 GHz max boost clock, and 3 performance cores get a max boost clock of 4.8 GHz. In this, you get 16 MB of Level 3 Cache. The default TDP of this chip is 28W.
And if we talk about graphics, then in the Ryzen AI 5 340 Chip you get AMD Radeon 840M integrated graphics, which is RDNA 3.5 based, and in this iGPU you get only 4 graphics cores, and the boost clock of these graphics is 2900 MHz. Along with this, you get an XDNA 2-based dedicated NPU which delivers AI power up to 50 TOPS and delivers 59 TOPS overall; hence, this chip is perfect for productivity and casual gaming.
RAM/Storage:
You may not get preinstalled memory in all three variants of the SAPPHIRE EDGE AI Mini PC; you can install up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory as per your requirement. You get two SO-DIMM slots; that is, you can install two memory modules of 48 GB each in dual channel, and you will be able to install RAM of up to 5600 MHz.
If we talk about storage, you get a total of three PCIe expansion slots; the Wi-Fi WLAN module comes pre-installed in 2230 M. 2 PCIe slots for the same storage: 1 x 2280 and 1 x 2242 M. 2 PCIe Gen4x4 slots are available; due to this, you can increase its storage as per your need. Installing memory modules and NVMe SSD will be very easy because you get a magnetic top lead in Sapphire Edge AI, due to which you will be able to change memory and NVMe without any tool.
IO Ports:
The power button is found on the front side of the Sapphire Edge AI Mini PC; in the same area you have a power LED, and next to it there is a 3.5 mm audio jack. Next to that you get 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports.

In the rear IO you get DC power input, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one RJ45 Ethernet port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, one USB 2.0 Gen 2 Type-A port, and lastly, you get two super-fast USB 4.0 Type-C ports. In these ports you get superfast 40 Gbps speed, in these ports you get PD 3.0, and in these ports you get display output, due to which you can connect a total of four displays in this Sapphire Edge AI Mini PC. Due to this, this mini PC provides more value than other mini PCs.
Other:
You get a 19V, 6.32A, 120W power adapter in Sapphire Edge AI, and you can install Windows or Linux OS in this AI mini PC. And you get VESA mount support. If we look at wireless connectivity, you have been given Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and as a cooling solution, you get a single fan, but Sapphire has designed a special chassis; it draws air from both the sides and mainly from the bottom and comes out from the back, due to which you get stable performance.
