ACEMAGIC is soon going to launch Tank M1A Pro & Tank M1A Pro Plus with Powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max + 395. Know the specs and price!

The ACEMAGIC Tank M1A Pro and Pro Plus will soon arrive with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip. Get all the essential details on specifications, features, and estimated pricing.

Acemagic is one of the most popular mini PC brands, and its Tank series is known for its mini gaming PCs. When the Acemagic Tank 03 M1A series was launched in October 2023, everyone’s attention was focused on these box-sized mini gaming PCs. You were getting flagship configurations at a relatively low price point: i9-12900H + RTX 4060L, i9-12900H + RTX 3080L, i7-12700H + RTX 3070L

But now again, Acemagic is going to launch two new mini gaming PCs of the Tank M1A series with its two new configurations, Tank M1A Pro and Tank M1A Pro Plus, but everyone’s attention is going to be on Tank M1A Pro Plus, because in this you are going to get AMD’s new superchip, which is Ryzen AI Max+ 395, so let’s see.

Design:

If we talk about the design, it is of a cute cube shape like the Tesseract Cube. On the front side you have been given a knob of three different modes, beside which you get RGB lighting. Its dimension is 166.7 x 166.9 x 160.9 mm; this Acemagic Tank M1A Pro/Plus sucks from the front and bottom; hot air comes out from the side and back. We will know about cooling in detail later.

Performance:

Tank M1A Pro:

CPU:

If we talk about the processor, then you get the Intel Core i9-13900HK CPU in the M1A Pro model, which is based on Alder Lake architecture, in which you get a total of 14 cores, in which you get 6 performance cores and 8 efficient cores, in which you get 20 threads, in which the maximum turbo speed of the performance cores is 5.40 GHz and the base clock is 2.6 GHz, and in which the efficient core maximum turbo speed is 4.10 GHz and the base clock is 1.9 GHz. In this you get 24 MB Intel Smart Cache. Because in this chip you get Intel Iris Xe Integrated Graphics, whose frequency is 1.50 GHz, in which you get 96 Execution Units, but in this Acemagic Tank M1A Pro you get a discrete GPU, which we will see later.

GPU:

In the Tank M1A Pro you get Intel’s powerful discrete graphics card, which is the Arc A770 MXM, and that too with 16 GB GDDR6 video memory.

Tank M1A Pro Plus:

CPU:

If we talk about the processor, then in the M1A Pro Plus model, you get AMD’s Ryzen 300 series Strix Halo series’ most famous and powerful superchip, which is the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which is an APU based on Zen 5 architecture, in which you get 16 cores and 32 threads.

The based clock speed of this chip is 3.0 GHz
and the Max turbo boost clock is 5.1 GHz, in which you get 64 MB of level 3 cache memory. If we talk about power consumption, AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 consumes approximately 45 W to 120 W. The special thing is that this superchip is an APU; hence, you get a powerful iGPU in it, which we will see.

GPU:

In AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395, you get Radeon RX 8060S iGPU, which is really powerful. Strix Halo Graphics is based on RDNA 3.5, in which you get a total of 40 compute units and 2560 cores (shading units). The graphics of this Radeon 8060S have a base clock of 1295 MHz and a boost clock of 2900 MHz. Due to the integrated GPU, about 96 GB of memory from the superfast 128 GB 8000 MHz LPDDR5X system memory will be shared with the iGPU, which is a good thing. This Radeon RX 8060S iGPU gives almost the same performance as the Nvidia RTX 4070 (laptop). Due to this, you can easily do 4K and 8K video editing, and as far as gaming is concerned, you can easily do high refresh rate gaming at 1080P Ultra settings and 1440P gaming as well. This iGPU draws up to 55W power at peak, which means this chip draws approximately 45W to 120W.

You have been given XDNA 2 NPU, which has a capacity of 50 TOPS; however, the total capacity of this chip is 126 TOPS, due to which you get extreme AI compute power. This AMD Strix Halo chip was made for high-end laptops only but is proving to be a boon for high-end mini PC workstations because you get better performance than Apple’s latest M4 Pro and M4 Max.

Memory, Storage:

  •  M1A Pro:

ACEMAGIC M1A Tank 03 In the previous variants, you got 32GB or 64GB DDR5 4800MT/s memory options (16GB x 2 / 32GB x 2) dual-channel SO-DIMM slots.

But this Tank M1A Pro also has 2 dual-channel SO-DIMM slots which will support up to 5200 MT/s DDR5 memory, but Acemagic has not yet clarified how many GB of memory options you will get. Maybe due to RAM shortage and increased memory prices, it is not clear, or you can also get barebone (no RAM & SSD & OS) options; you will have to install RAM and SSD yourself as per your requirements. If we talk about storage, you get a total of two slots of 2280 full-size M.2 Gen 4.

  • M1A Pro Plus:

This variant comes with 128GB of LPDDR5X onboard 8000 MT/s superfast memory, along with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. Storage options include three 2280-bit full-size M.2 Gen 4 slots.

IO Ports:

The front IO ports are the same in both variants. If we look at the front IO, you get two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 4 Type-C port, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

  • M1A Pro:

On the back, you get one USB 3.2 Gen-2, three 3.2 Gen-1 ports, a total of six display outputs from the discrete GPU, a 2.5G LAN, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a DC power input port.

  • M1A Pro Plus:

On the back of the M1A Pro Plus, you get one USB 3.2 Gen-2, three 3.2 Gen-1 ports, one 2.1 HDMI and two DisplayPort ports. You get dual 2.5G LAN ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a DC power input port. For wireless connectivity, both variants have Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth version 5.2.

Other:

For cooling, you get 7 copper pipes in the Tank M1A Pro (5 copper pipes for GPU and 2 copper pipes for CPU cooling), and you get 3 super silent powerful fans in this Acemagic Tank M1A Pro. The fans are placed in such a way that there is noise reduction and the machine can cool down quickly. Acemagic says that due to this design, up to 45% heat dissipation happens quickly.

You also get RGB lighting in the front. The special thing is that you get a physical 3-stage power/performance mode knob in the Acemagic Tank M1A: silent mode, daily mode, and beast mode. Due to this, it is a very useful feature. You get a 19V/15.79A DC power adapter, and you are going to get Windows 11 in both the mini PCs, and you get a total warranty of 2 years along with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Opinion:

ACEMAGIC says that there is the M1A Pro, which is the perfect option for gamers and developers, and the M1A Pro Plus model will prove to be the perfect option for AI engineers and research professionals because you get 128GB LPDDR5X unified memory with Ryzen AI Max+ 395, but in the ACEMAGIC M1A Pro Plus you get the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 powerful APU, which gives you desktop-grade CPU performance. In it you get the powerful Radeon RX 8060S iGPU, which is as powerful as a discrete RTX 4070 laptop; hence, you can also buy this model for gaming. Now it remains to be seen at what price it will be available to you, because currently the prices of RAM are sky-high.
